Our Prayer
From the Principal
Dear parents and carers,
Welcome back to Term 2. This is an eleven week term so it is vital that families and the school work to maintain the wellbeing of our students with plenty of care and rest over this time.
Baby News
Congratulations to Amy & Darcy on the arrival of another beautiful boy Alfie Ted, born on the 5th April.
We are sure Lenny is loving his new baby brother!

Albie will be working alongside Mr K in PE, whilst Chloe will be in the junior area.

District Aths Results
Last term we had 32 St Patrick's students represent the school at the District Athletics Sports. After a huge day of competition St Patrick's narrowly won the day and Marlee Fitzgerald won the 10 year old girl's age group Champion. Well done to all our students who represented the school beautifully and to Tom, the staff and the many parents who helped on the day.
St Patrick's Cross Country
This week the St Patrick's Cross Country will be run on Friday the 19th of April. We will hold the Grade 3 to 6 events at the Camperdown Showgrounds beginning at 11:30am and the Foundation to Grade 2 events back at school after second break, 2.15pm. Please pop this day in your diary as it is often a wonderful community event.
School Photo Day
Our school photo day will be held on Wednesday the 1st of May.
A MSP Photography envelope will be sent home with your child this week. If you order your photos online the envelope does not need to be returned to school.

Building Program
There was considerable progress over the school holidays with the majority of the slab installed. The last portion of this will be poured over the coming weeks. With the arrival of high volumes of materials, the builders have had to extend the compound onto the 3/4 oval reducing our play space. We will trial having the 3/4's on the senior oval in a separate area than the Senior students while this remains in place.
Pupil Free Day
Please note there will be a pupil free day on Tuesday the 14th of May.
Our staff will be participating in a Numeracy Professional Development on this day.
Known Dates
Below is a list of known dates at this stage for the rest of this year.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Lions Eye Health Program
The Camperdown Lions Club will be here next Monday the 22nd April conducting the free vision screening for children.
If your child is in Foundation or Grade 6 and you are yet to complete and return the form can you please do so ASAP.
Easter Raffle
Our Easter raffle on the final day of last term was a wonderful way to finish up with the excitement of winning chocolate and beginning Easter and the school holidays. The P&F did a wonderful job of organising this event. We thank our parents and local supermarkets for their very generous donations. We raised an enormous, $3675 for our school.
P&F Meeting
The next meeting of the P&F will be held on Tuesday the 23rd of April at 6:30pm in the staffroom. If you are considering helping with the roles advertised over the last two newsletters, we would love to see you at the meeting.
ANZAC Day
Thursday 25th of April is ANZAC Day and St Patrick's students are invited to join the parade for the march. We will meet at the clocktower 9:45am in school uniform to prepare for the march at 10am to the war memorial for the formal ceremony. Our school leaders will lay a wreath and read on behalf of the school community. St Pat's are supporting veterans in need by offering ANZAC Appeal merchandise to children who wish to purchase it. Most badges, pens, wristbands etc are $2-10. Thank you for your support.
