From the Principal
Dear parents and carers,
How inspiring have the Olympics been over the last two weeks. Great examples to our children of sportsmanship, fair play and dealing with the joy of victory and disappointment of defeat. It is a chance to get a little more sleep for everyone before it is time to throw our support behind our Paralympian athletes in two weeks.

This Friday we are having a casual clothes day to recognise Bullying No Way.
On Friday the 16th of August please wear a POP of purple!
Hoop Time Basketball
The first of the Hoop Time Basketball was held last Friday with the 5/6 All Star boys and girls basketball teams competing at Terang.
Congratulations to the girls who have progressed to the next level defeating St Thomas' in the Grand Final with a strong win.
The boys played well all day too but were defeated by St Thomas' in the Grand Final.
Thanks to Tom & Narelle who coached the teams on the day.

Uniform Display
After a long consultation period and planning, the prototypes of our new uniform are on display in the school foyer for parents to view. We are still working through a process to find a supplier so a little more patience is needed before we can buy new items.
Known Dates
Below is a list of known dates at this stage for the rest of this year.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Father's Day at St Pat's
Father's Day will be celebrated on Sunday the 1st of September this year. At St Patrick's we will be hosting an afternoon tea and school assembly on Friday 30th of August to show our dads or other special people how important they are in our lives. The P&F will be running a Father's Day Stall to allow our students to buy a special gift to present on the day. There is no need to send in a present. The P&F have bought the presents for your children to purchase from the stall for $5 each.
TheirCare
Theircare has now commenced at St Patrick's School and it's not too late to enrol.
We are excited to announce that we have now partnered with an independent Outside of School Hours Care (OSHC) provider called TheirCare.
TheirCare provides a stimulating and safe environment for all children. During sessions, children develop life-skills, friendships, confidence, and creativity through play-based programs.
For further information, visit www.theircare.com.au or call our support office on 1300 072 410
