From the Principal
Dear parents and carers,
This week we have the joy of celebrating the sacrament of First Eucharist with the students who have been preparing for this special occasion over the past few weeks. Our first service will be on Saturday 7th of September at 6.30pm at the Cobden church and then for a whole school mass on Sunday 8th of September at 11am in Camperdown. We hope this is a special time in the lives of our students and their families.

HoopTime Basketball
It was the 3/4 Rookies turn to play in the Hooptime Basketball competition last Friday at the Camperdown Stadium. We entered 4 teams, who all enjoyed the chance to play with their friends on the day. Well done to the children who were involved.

FUN DAY
The Senior students will be conducting their fun day on Thursday 19th of September. This will be an exciting way to finish up a long term.
Friday 20th of September will be the last day of term and school will finish at 2:15pm. The bus schedule will be moved one hour earlier. This day will also be a footy colours day. Please note there will be no canteen available on the last day of term.
School Closure Days
We have two school closure days for professional development left for this year. We have moved the first of these from earlier this term to Monday 7th of October which is the first day of Term 4. Term 4 will begin on Tuesday the 8th of October.
Our final day is still on Monday the 4th of November, which is the day before the Melbourne Cup public holiday. Please ensure that these days are in your calendar.
TheirCare will be offering all day care on these days for families experiencing difficulty finding carers for their children.

Staff Announcements
We have some staff who will be leaving our school in the near future and would like me to share their arrangements with you.
- Mick Saunders will be with us until the end of the year and then will be on leave for 2025. We look forward to recognising and celebrating the enormous contribution he has made to St Patrick's School.
- Carley Hickey will be taking 12 months leave for all of 2025. She will commence this leave at the end of this school year.
- For family reasons, Georgia Copeland will be commencing Long Service Leave at the end of this term for the remainder of the school year.
We thank these people for their incredible contribution to our school and wish them all the best for the changes ahead.
Classroom Teacher Vacancy
SAC Meeting
We have postponed our SAC meeting tomorrow night and it will be rescheduled to another date.
Uniform Display
After a long consultation period and planning, the prototypes of our new uniform are on display in the school foyer for parents to view. We are still working through a process to find a supplier so a little more patience is needed before we can buy new items.
