From the Principal

Dear Parents and Caregivers,
Thank you for Celebrating Mother's Day with us!
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the mothers, grandmothers, and special people in our students’ lives who joined us for our Mother’s Day afternoon. It was a joy to welcome you into our school community and to celebrate the important role you play in the lives of our children.
We hope you enjoyed Eve Drew’s meaningful presentation, which beautifully highlighted the significant work and influence of the women who support and guide our students each day.
Thank you also for helping to create such a warm and joyful atmosphere in our classrooms during the Mother’s Day-themed activities. Your presence made the afternoon truly special, and it was wonderful to see the smiles and excitement as students shared this time with you.
We are grateful for your ongoing support and the love you show our students—every day and in so many ways.
Darren Lloyd

3/4C Assembly

Last Thursday afternoon, 3/4C were given a big challenge: could they step up and lead our whole school assembly
the very next day, setting a great example for all students at St Pat's? The answer was a resounding yes!
On Friday 3/4C did a wonderful job running the assembly - from confidently leading us in prayer to announcing award winners and birthdays. They truly showed leadership,
teamwork and school spirit.
Well done to all students in 3/4C – you made us proud!
Who will lead our next whole school assembly? Stay tuned to find out!
National Simultaneous Storytime

NSS 2025 will be held this Wednesday 21 May 2025 at 12pm (AEST). Our school will be participating.
The book this year is The Truck Cat written by Debroah Frenkel and Illustrated by Danny Snell.
To further spread the opportunities that books and reading provide, on Thursday 22nd May, we are offering excess books from our library and some left over donations from previous book swaps to our students for prices ranging from 50c to $2. Many of these books are in fabulous condition and still have plenty of reading left in them! Funds raised will be passed onto the Indigenous Literacy Foundation to help provide books in First Languages and learning resources to children and families living in remote Communities across Australia.

Pavers
This is a friendly reminder that the Paver orders are due back this Friday!
All families should have received a Paver Pamphlet.

A copy of the order form is attached.
Cross Country

Congratulations to the students who ran in the division Cross Country in Warrnambool last Friday.
The Regional level is scheduled for next Monday the 26th of May.
Uniform Updates

Our School Advisory Council (SAC) is beginning work on updating our uniform policy to provide clear and consistent guidelines for families regarding uniform expectations.
As we move into Term 2, we would like to clarify the following:
- Students may wear either the summer or winter uniform throughout the year.
- Shorts and dresses are permitted in Terms 2 and 3.
During 2025, students may wear the old uniform, the new uniform, or a combination of both.
Grade 6 students are permitted to wear their Year 6 shirts on Fridays, excursions, camps, representative days, and Grade 6 hats during Terms 1 and 4, or whenever hats are required.
All students must wear either the maroon broad-brimmed hat or bucket hat when outdoors during Terms 1 and 4, and at other times during Terms 2 and 3 when UV levels are above 3.
Socks must be plain white or navy, with no logos or branding.
Shoes must be all black school or running shoes, with no coloured panels or laces.
In 2025 students are permitted to wear coloured runners on their PE day.
We appreciate your support in helping maintain high standards for our school uniform.
